Isabella doesn't want to dwell on her past, and she doesn't want you to either. She is rediscovering all the simple joys of being a dog - great food, cushy beds, sunbathing, and kindness from the humans in her life. We feel sure she knew it all before, but somewhere along the way, her life changed. Animal control found her on the side of a busy road, and their report said she had been thrown out of a car. How someone could do that to such a beautiful creature is unfathomable - and Isabella definitely thought so too. She wasn't quite so trusting of her rescuers at first. But it took no time at all for her mindset to change and for her to relax and love again. Isn't that the beauty of dogs? And doesn't Isabella just represent that beauty perfectly?

If you could see her eyes, you would know that good in the world will always prevail. Isabella's eyes are deep and inquisitive and they have that curious spark like a puppy's as she takes in all there is to enjoy at her foster home. She is lucky, and she knows it. Her injuries were limited to pelvis fractures and they were such that they're healing on their own with crate rest. She's already up and walking and this gal can move. She's heartworm negative and has had her teeth cleaned too. She's housetrained and will let you know she's got to go out, and she loves her dog bed. All that's missing is you - her TRUE forever home.

UPDATE

Isabella is continuing to enjoy life. She adores attention and looks at you with those bright eyes and a wagging tail and it just makes your day. She is healed from her physical injuries and runs and trots around with glee. She loves to explore the yard. She is housetrained and sleeps quietly on her dog bed during the night. To adopt a senior like Isabella is to know true love!

UPDATE

I am a sweet, older lady who just loves to cuddle in blankets. Being a tiny little thing, I do catch a chill easily, so the more blankets you have, the happier I will be! I haven't had the easiest life, and can be a bit timid and shy when we first meet, but it doesn't take me long to warm up to a kind hearted soul. Somewhere along the rough path I've walked, I learned to trust again and enjoy the simple things in life. Blankets, laps, a nice meal and a kind heart... those are a few of my favorite things. I especially like to sleep in a nice bed, under the covers, but with my head resting elegantly on a pillow.

All ladies should possess the perfect manners, and I have them mastered! I will go to the door and let out a delicate "yelp" when it's time to use the ladies' room, and wouldn't dream of making a mess in the house. I enjoy taking a leisurely stroll around the block and getting some sunshine. About the only time I let my hair down is when I run around the yard in a burst of spunkiness that would make you second guess my age!

Other dogs do not bother me much, in fact I am a real pro at pretending they aren't even there. Since I do enjoy a quiet lifestyle, a home without young children or cats would be the best fit for me. My dream for living out my golden years is a home filled with laps, blankets, love and cuddles... and maybe a tasty treat, or two!
