Let's all give a big welcome to Kuchen......Kuchen is a beautiful senior girl who has just come into Rescue with CTDR. Kuchen's owner took a job overseas and was unable to take her with him.  She is with family and is adjusting to her owner not there, as he had her since she was a puppy. The family turned to CTDR for help and we agreed to take her into Rescue and find her a forever home. I Kuchen is a very sweet and loving dog. She enjoys meeting new people who visit our home. She is also very smart and learns quickly. Even though she’s a senior girl, she has the enthusiasm of a puppy. One of our favorite things about Kuchen is how much she seems to enjoy playing with toys and sharing that playtime with us. Kuchen really loves to cuddle and makes a great couch and bed buddy. She also loves bath time and becomes excited when she senses one is about to happen. Sometimes she sits in front of the shower as if to say, “please give me a bath!” Kuchen also enjoys car rides with the windows rolled down. She’ll stick her head out the window and soak in the sun and wind. A very important thing to note about Kuchen is that she absolutely loves food! As a result, she eats very quickly and requires a slow feeder. The slow feeder works very well for her, and she seems to enjoy the stimulation.
Another important thing to note about Kuchen is that she is used to having free roam of her
environment almost all day, every day, because both my husband and I work from home. This
has been the norm for her for two years. She is crate trained, but has been known to become a
bit anxious and cry if crated by herself for too long. She is also used to larger crates and does
not enjoy being in smaller pet taxis, especially in the car or public places. If you would like to give Kuchen a forever home, please complete an application at CTDR.org.
