UPDATE:
Max and Melly have settled in quite nicely in their foster home. They love snuggling with each other and with their people. Max loves to snuggle in your lap or cuddle next to you in a small donut bed. Melly flops over on her back and will drape herself over you. We have nicknamed them the M&M Gang. They are very food motivated and smart which makes them easy to train. They are very eager to please and want to be with people. They are kennel trained and they dive into their kennel as fast as they can and spin around to get their cookies. They sleep together in their kennel all night together and love to sleep in late in the mornings. They love burrow beds and to sleep under blankets. They are also house and doggy door trained. Melly loves toys and can often be found in the toybox looking for a new toy to chew. They are good with people and our dogs. Melly likes to be the center of attention so they can do well in a home with or without other dogs. We do not have cats but they are very interested in squirrels. They both love to run in our yard.
Don't you just love those sweet frosty faces? Meet Max, who along with his litter mate, Mellie have found themselves in Rescue after their owners surrendered them to a shelter in South Texas. When CTDR was contacted, we wasted no time to get them out so they did not have to spend one more day in the shelter. They are fully vetted and just need a place to spend the rest of their golden years. They are littermates and are extremely bonded so they will have to be adopted together. If interested in Max and Mellie, please complete an application at ctdr.org.
