Heartworm Prevention given on the 1st of each month

Happy news to report on Maggie.  When Maggie went to the NXNW event this past Sunday she was a perfect little lady.  Our frequent walks in the neighborhood with periodic visits with children seem to have paid off.  She let everyone - young and old pet her.  She was also very sweet with the other dogs at the event.  And... drum roll please... she has lost over 3 pounds!!!  She weighed in yesterday at 14 pounds that is down from the original 17 1/4 when she first came to us.

 

Maggie is a very sweet girl who is used to a lot of attention... and food :-)  She is on a diet and training program in her foster home.  She walks on leash very well, no pulling at all, and she keeps a pretty brisk pace. She has lost 1 1/2 pounds so far and has about 5 more to go.  She is doing an excellent job on potty training and is even starting to bark when she needs to go outside.  Maggie is great with other dogs and even good with the cat.  She is a little skittish around small children and is very "protective" of her family.  Maggie love to have her ears scratched and belly rubbed and warms up to strangers quickly.
