Contessa, affectionately called Tessa or Tessie, is a beautiful little girl both inside and out!  She is small, weighing in at about 11 pounds, and has a beautiful black and white, piebald patterned coat.  She has deep brown, expressive eyes. She is a very happy little girl that wags her tail all the time and loves to give kisses, although she doesn't drown you!  She is perhaps the Perfect little lap dog!  Her most favorite thing to do, is to sit in your lap or to be right beside you!  She doesn't demand that you pet her constantly, she is content to just Be with you!  But if you want to pet, scratch and rub her, then she is most happy to accept the attention!  She has excellent manners, comes when called, will sit if you have a treat, is quiet, walks well on a leash and is housebroken!  She is not destructive and only plays with items given to her to play with! She sleeps quietly through the night on her own dog bed beside the big bed or sleeps with her human in the big bed. Tessa doesn't like cats and would prefer to chase them and eat them for lunch if she could catch them! She does have a problem with sharing her humans lap with other dogs, and should probably be the only dog in the house, although she plays well with other dogs otherwise. Tessa perfect home would be one where she is the only dog and has a lap to call her very own!  She could live in an apartment or in a house, she isn't picky.  She could live with a single person or a family.  She would be a great companion to a retired or elderly person wanting some loving company.  The only she wants is a warm bed to sleep in, some good, nutritious food, a warm lap to lay in and a loving hand to pet her and she would be all set!  In return, she promises to be your loyal, loving, forever companion, who will stay by your side or sit in your lap, through good times and bad, giving you kisses and making you smile everyday!  Do you have a lap that little Tessa can curl up in?  Fill out your application today!
