Heartworm Prevention is given on the 14th of each month

Hi my name is Dottie. I was turned into San Antonio ACS to be euthanized. You see I have a back problem- IVDD- I could not use my back legs. I had deep pain sensation and could go potty on my own. The people at ACS asked if anyone could take me. Well let me tell you Central Texas Dachshund rescue stepped up. When I was turned in they said I was 12 but the vets think I am more like 8-10. I tested positive for heart worms and need a dental. With crate rest and treatment for the IVDD I am starting to improve. I can walk again and am running with my brothers and sisters a little. I love to be held. When I am out for potty breaks I am a snuggle bug and house trained. My foster mom says I am the best little girl. Well we will keep you posted on my progress!
