Hello, my name is Westley. I am around 8 years old. A good Samaritan found me trying to cross four lanes of traffic in South Austin. She took me home and gave me a safe place to stay. I was scared, lonely and very, very hungry. She then contacted my foster moms at CTDR and they came and got me. When I got to my foster home I was not sure of all the other puppies and dogs that looked like me. But they were friendly and we get along very well now. My foster moms took me to see Dr. Sue and I got some medicine to help me feel better. I was very thin and my ribs were showing. At first I had to overcome my shyness. I found that being held and cuddled is not such a bad thing. My foster moms give me lots of cuddles and love. My foster siblings are great too. They showed me how to use a doggie door. I even get along with kids too. I eat with a gusto now and I get plenty of treats and a chew stick every night before I go to bed. I even get cookies for going in my kennel at bed time. My foster moms let me lay in the big bed to watch TV too. Oh boy, I love being at my new foster house. I still have to see the vet to be neutered but I know that I will recover from that fast and hopefully I can go to a super furever home after that.
