Heartworm Prevention is given on the 27th of each month

Petey is a long doggie looking for some cuddles and a home to call his own.  He is a sweet, handsome boy with a shiny red coat and long legs.  He is taller than your average doxie but just as long.  Petey was pretty thin and not feeling so good when he came into rescue and has been spending his first few weeks healing and getting all the love and care he needs.  He is getting much better, gaining some weight and his personality is coming out.  We are continuing to learn more about him each day.  He is doing good with our other dogs, and is pretty quiet. We are working on his potty training and has started out pretty well.  Now that he feels much better he says he will work hard to learn the doggy door.   Petey is so friendly with everyone he meets.  He  lays his big head next to yours and enjoys kisses  and attention and he  loves to snuggle in bed with you under the covers.  He has been sleeping also in his crate and he does pretty good with that too, with little fuss, but he definitely prefers to be close to you and he bonds quickly.
