Charlie is dachshund/beagle mix. Everyone comments on his cute face when they meet him. While Charlie is technically a senior he is very spry and playful and can go on 2-3 mile walks with ease. He is very agile and shows no signs of past injury, or any current back or joint problems. He walks on the leash without pulling.  Charlie’s motto is “always be wagging”. A sweeter boy who just wants to be part of the family would be difficult to imagine.  Charlie is completely house trained. He will let you know if he has to go out. Amazingly he does not shed. (not kidding) And he smells good, although he could use a dental cleaning.  While out in public, Charlie does not have any issues with other dogs or people coming up to greet him. He would like to be better friends with his current dachshund housemate Papi, but Papi just tolerates him so Charlie leaves him alone.  He makes it his business to be nice and be a good boy. Charlie likes to be held in your lap, but cowers slightly when being picked up.  Charlie will bark if alerted, but is not a yapper.  He sleeps through the night without fail. His current foster family does not have children or cats, so this is something that can’t be commented on at this time. He is not overly food motivated but requires his water dish to be refreshed several times a day. He likes his water and prefers it fresh.
