Heartworm Treatment is given on the 28th of each month

UPDATE:  Daisy is doing very good in her foster home with 7 other dogs. She is completely healed from her surgery and loves attention and to eat. She is gaining some weight and has grown lots of new hair. She has had quite a few of her teeth pulled so her tongue hangs out some which cute and with her Yoda ears makes quite an impression. She wants nothing more than to be in sight of her foster mom. She never barks but has this sound she makes that sure gets your attention. She lets you know when she wants to go out and definitely when ready to come in. We are working to teach her the dog door. She likes to go outside and just meander around the yard. Daisy still has to have two small mammary tumors removed and spayed and she will be ready for a forever home. She is a real sweetheart.

This senior lady was found on the side of the road in Dallas near a busy freeway.  She was taken to a local shelter.  Once there it became obvious that she had been neglected for a very long time.  Her toenails had started curling into her pads and she had a large mammary tumor the size of a baseball that had started bleeding.  Both ears have been notched which indicates she was used for breeding purposes.  CTDR was contacted with an emergency plea to help this sweet girl.  She is resting comfortably at the vets office and the vet will decide what all vetting she will need.  It will be several weeks before she could be considered for adoption.
