Sweet Sussy was found on the streets of Austin and was taken to the local Animal Shelter.  When her owners did come for her, Rescue was contacted and CTDR stepped up. When Sussy came into the rescue she was very sick and scared, but she has come a long way.  She has received all of her vaccinations, and treatment for an infection.   She was heart worm positive when she came into the rescue but after successful treatment she is now heart worm free!   She is a sweet little girl who loves to cuddle in her human’s lap. She enjoys going for long walks, riding in her wagon, taking a nap in the sun on the balcony, and going to the dog park. She is very good in the car and loves going for rides.   She gets along with other dogs. I’m not sure how she would be in a home with a cat as she has only seen cats when we are out on our walks and when that happens she does bark at them. She is a happy, smart, loving little girl who doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She loves everyone she meets and will happily roll over and let them give her a belly rub or jump into their lap for kisses and hugs. She even “smiles” when she sees someone coming toward her that she knows.   When she is resting she can be found under a pile of blankets curled into a little ball.   She currently lives with her foster Mom in an apartment and is used to being walked on a leash for potty breaks, but uses a doggie door when she visits her “foster cousins”.   She is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate at night, but if her forever family allows it, she would be perfectly happy to sleep in the big people bed!

Please think about giving this beautiful little girl a forever home.   The only things she will ever ask of you is a warm bed, good food (ah, yes she does love to eat!) and   a warm lap and in return you will receive lots of doggy kisses and unconditional love!
