Hi, Teresa, here are my comments about Rita. Please edit as you see fit.

Rita is my alarm clock and my doorbell. She is very alert. Rita loves to play and go for walks. She is happiest snuggling up on my lap. She does bark alerts but she is very funny when she does Chewbacca sounding dialogues with cats or toys she has challenges with.

Rita is crate trained and likes to have one available to retreat to. She is a very loyal girl and will be a constant companion. She comes when called even if there’s something to chase. Rita also responds to hand signals like come (backward wave), down (open hand, palm down), and pointing (forefinger) where she should go.

Rita is a darling girl. She does have some fears but restoring her confidence has helped. Rita wants to love and to be loved.

Meet Rita.  She is a beautiful smooth red doxie who tries to be Alpha, but not overly so. She is shy and will cringe or cry out if picked up by surprise. She comes readily to get her share of attention. She has shown no aggression to people or dogs and likes to play. She l ikes being in the big bed, loves to give kisses and curl up by my neck. She is good in kennel and good about doing her business outside. She is mostly dachshund, with a dachshund body, but I see some Chihuahua in her face.
