I would like to introduce you to Mr. Jerry. He is estimated to be about 5 years old, ( But I think he might be a little younger). He is a miniature smooth coat dachshund , and  what I call a “Wild Boar” color. Jerry came to us because he was Heartworm Positive and would need to go through treatment to be ready for his new “forever Home”. Jerry is a friendly and loving little dachshund and likes nothing better than being in your lap and giving kisses. He is a medium to low energy dachshund not given to running around a lot but does like to interact with his dachshund brothers and sisters. He is not an alpha dog and gets along with everyone. He is both adult and child friendly. Do not know about cats, but he does not seem to have a high prey drive. Jerry is now finished his “Heartworm Treatment” and is again heartworm free and on Heartgard. He is healthy and fully vetted. Jerry would make a great family member for almost any family situation, only dog, Multiple Dogs, Senior single owner, or Family with children. He has been an both easy and enjoyable foster.
