UPDATE:
Are you looking for a dog that has that perfect balance between adventure and “Netflix and chill”? If so, Sasha is your girl! She is an active little girl that likes to go to new places, but she is also very content just hanging out with her people. Sasha is an adorable, enthusiastic, social little gal who befriends everyone she sees and meets. She loves being around people and enjoys being the center of attention. She does great with other dogs or she could do without…she has no preference. She gets along with cats, too. She loves the outdoors, sunbaths, squirrel watching and playing tug-of-war with toys. Sasha is also safety conscious - her built-in warning system lets her loved ones know that any potential threat could be nearby. She is curious, cuddly and a social butterfly. Sasha has had 2 back surgeries to repair ruptured discs, but this doesn’t hold her back at all. She is just like any other dog in every respect! She continues to go to rehab and gets acupuncture to strengthen her rear legs. She has worked hard and has come a long way, but she still has a wobbly walk. She may not ever walk normally again, and she may need to continue with rehab to maintain her strength. She cannot navigate stairs and she needs a harness to help support her on walks. Her recovery has taken longer than most, but she keeps improving with time. We have very high hopes that, given patience, love and time, she will walk close to normally again. The person/people that are lucky enough to adopt Sasha will be rewarded with so much warmth, love, and silliness that it will make caring for her a breeze! Sasha says, “Just adopt and love me!”
Good morning from Sasha! Sasha is doing great in her recovery from IVDD surgery. She goes to rehab weekly where she is a staff favorite. She is trying really hard to regain the use of her rear legs and she makes progress on a daily basis. Sasha loves people and gets along with other dogs well. She doesn't mind the cat in her foster home. She is a happy go lucky girl who has an amazing personality and is a lot of fun!"
Sasha Fierce was surrendered to the local shelter as she had gone down in her back and unable to use her back legs. CTDR was contacted and we immediately pulled her and got her to a specialty hospital where she has ha back surgery. She is totally vetted and will need a foster home first where she can recover from her surgery and then be ready to go to her forever home. Please look for future updates on this beautiful little girl.
