This sweet senior lady was found walking the streets of Georgetown. Notices were put out in and around the neighborhood where she was found in hopes her owners would be found but sadly no one came forward. Rescue was contacted and Olive has now received all of her vaccines , is microchipped and ready for her " f u rever " home. If you are interested in making her a permanent member of your family, please complete an application at ctdr.org.
Olive is hard of hearing and has some sight limitations due to cataracts. We know she can for sure see light and dark and never has she run into anything. She can navigate the house, yard, and her foster siblings without any issues. She can go up and down steps easily and even take off running to chase after foster dad to play. She gets along just fine with her four foster siblings and even lays down with them to relax. She does like to wander around the house and yard exploring , but will happily sit down next to you and get scratchings or take a nap. She “goes” in the yard every time she is taken out and she will go down the steps on her own to “go” in the yard. She has not figured out the doggie door, but with some routine, we bet she can be taught. We have not exposed her to cats, but I’m thinking she would be indifferent to them as well. She eats and drinks fine, no aggression, no food hoarding, and no scarfing. She does sleep very sound on a comforter on the floor (she does like to burrow) and snores without any shame whatsoever.
