When I found myself lost and roaming the streets of Austin the nice folks at the Austin Animal Center found me and took me to their shelter. I waited awhile for my family to come claim me but they never came so the wonder folks at CTDR came and took me to my foster home. As you can see from my picture I was given a “summer” hair cut which is much cooler in this hot Texas weather. No one is quite sure why my previous Mom did this, but it’s growing back, I’m pretty sure I’ll have a beautiful gray and white fur coat in no time at all. My foster Mom thinks I might have a little Poodle in me, I hear they are a pretty smart breed, so, hey, dachshund and poodle, you can’t go wrong with that. She says that I am very smart and well behaved. I have very good potty manners and have never had an accident in the house. I rarely bark, usually only when my foster brother starts barking then I feel the need to chime in. I love snuggling in my bed with a pile of blankets and I go into my crate at night without even being asked. I love meeting new people and I haven’t met a dog I don’t like. I am gentle, submissive, and playful so I may be okay around children but that is an unknown at this time. I love to run and play but I’m having a hard time convincing my grumpy ole foster brother to play with me. Sigh, oh well, maybe someone with a fun loving, playful pup will adopt me then I will have a brother or sister to play with. Could that be you?
