About Pancho
Status: Adopted!
Species: Dog
General Color: Brown/Chocolate
Current Size: 14 Pounds
Current Age: 4 Years 9 Months (best estimate)
Reaction to New People: Cautious
UPDATE: Pancho's a great candidate for a home with no other pets. He loves to be at the center of attention and have the toys, food and humans all to himself. He's pretty nervous meeting new people at first so he barks somewhat aggressively. This fades away quickly especially if the person he's meeting patiently offers him training treats. Once Pancho decides he likes you he will thrust himself onto your lap with no warning! Pancho will watch you very closely while you're eating and if you happen to leave a package of crackers where he can reach it he will indeed scarf them down. He also likes to show off his height by lifting up the trashcan lid. Pancho is very lovable and quick to ask for belly rubs once he knows you!
UPDATE: Pancho warmed up to the three adults in his foster home quickly. He walks wonderfully on leash and enjoys hanging out in his crate or next to his foster mom on the couch. Pancho is working on getting along with his foster siblings, namely a 5 year old dachshund. He responds quickly to redirection and even though he has initiated a scuffle each day he does not seem intent on harming his foster siblings. He sleeps through the night in his crate and has not had any accidents indoors!
Pancho has found himself in Rescue with CTDR after being adopted from a shelter in Houston and then surrendered to a vet. He is fully vetted and once he is seen by the CTDR vets, he will be available to be adopted...
