Look at this handsome gentleman that just joined the CTDR family.   He was surrendered to the shelter by his family and when CTDR was contacted about getting him, we were happy to get him into Rescue.  He has had all of his vaccines, is neutered and now just needs a home in which to love out the rest of his golden years.  He gets along with other dogs and being with his humans is his favorite past time. In one word he is a Sweetheart. He loves his soft doggie bed, blanket and stuffed toys. Takes treats very gently from my hand. He will not jump up on me unless I’m sitting and then he’ll gently get on his hind legs for petting or to be picked up. So far he is not a barker. He has not shown any aggression at all towards my dogs, not even at the self feeder. He has not met a stranger, loves women, men and older kids. I have not had him around small kids or cats. He sleeps all night behind a child gate in the laundry room with my other dogs. He does seem to enjoy being around them.
