UPDATE: Honey
definitely needs a companion, I think she will hide in a corner if she doesn’t have encouragement from a playmate. She would be great with a family that has older kids, she is frightened with smaller kids under the age of 6. She does not like to be alone. She actually cries/howls if she is by herself. If she could talk she would say, please just put me in your purse and take me everywhere. She actually seems to prefer being carried. I think it’s her size and that makes her feel safer in arms. She is terribly frightened by large dogs.
Honey is a gorgeous 4 year old black and tan girl that is a new arrival to CTDR. Honey and her four 12 day old puppies were pulled from a breeding situation after the breeder was no longer able to care for the dogs. Honey and her babies lived outside in the heat extreme heat and when CTDR was made aware of this situation we jumped into action to get this sweet Momma and babies to safety. Honey has started her vetting process, however she tested positive for those nasty heartworms and will have to undergo heartworm treatment before being adopted. Currently, we are NOT accepting application for Honey or the babies at this time but you can check for updates on our website at ctdr.org.
