UPDATE:

Lady is a delightful girl, very smart and loving. She really likes humans and so far has been happy to greet everyone, and would love to kiss you if you let her.  A group of children she met on our first walk was a little intimidating.  She hid behind me, then let them pet her when they settled down and got on her level.  She is completely house trained, and it looks like she is doggy door trained.  The first time she went out, I pulled back the blinds to the patio door and she bonked her head right on the glass like she thought it would move. At first, she went to the door and pushed on it to go out (I don't have a doggy door), but learned quickly it's more effective to tell me than to push on the door.  She immediately lets me know when she needs to potty and goes outside. Lady is good riding in the car.  She would prefer to crawl onto your lap, so her best place is buckled into her seat.  She likes to watch where we are going or look out the window for a little, then curls up and goes to sleep in the front car seat.  She is not happy in a crate at all. She is so playful too and happily entertains herself squeaking and throwing her toys.  She loves chasing toys and does like to play tug of war but does not want to get too rough.. She is happy to sit next to me on the couch and play "throw the toy off the couch so mama gives it back."  And she really does play like a puppy - she plays hard then takes a nap. She barks at other dogs (her bark is a deep "big dog" bark), but is not overly crazy about it and will stop if you tell her it's enough. She's eager to please in general, comes when called, is loving and snuggly.  She loves to snuggle up next to you or in your lap. She is a good leash walker and loves to go on walks too, even though she favors her right front leg and probably wouldn't be up for a very long walk (more than a mile).. She does not like the crate at all and doesn't seem to be too comfortable with me closing the door in smaller areas.  The first time I left her alone, she walked around the house like she was searching for me, but now when I leave she goes to her bed and naps (I leave and watch on the camera to see how she adjusts to being alone). When possible, I would take her along because she is easygoing and sociable. She isn't very happy about being left home alone, but accepts it. Overall, she is a very good and girl who would be happiest next to her humans

Lady2 is a beautiful senior chocolate and tan girl who was found wandering the streets all alone until someone finally picked her up and took her to the local shelter in hopes her family would come looking for her.  She is microchipped but when the number that was listed with chip company, it was found to be disconnected.  She is fully vetted and ready to find that forever home.  She does love to play with toys and acts like a much younger dog while playing.  If interested in letting this sweet senior girl join your family, please complete an application at www.ctdr.org.
