Elsa has arrived into Rescue along with her sister, Anna after being found running the streets in the DFW area. When no one came to claim these sisters, CTDR jumped into action. As a very bonded pair, these two were inseparable. Unfortunately, Elsa's older sister Anna could not recover from severe pneumonia contracted during her time in the recent harsh weather. Elsa has not exhibited any symptoms and we are watching her health closely.
Elsa is a petite auburn red longhair senior dachshund weighing in at a mere 7 pounds. Elsa's size and seniority hasn't dampened her spirit one bit. This little girl loves to lead pack walks, hunt for squeeky toys, and at the end of the day loves nothing more than a comfortable spot to curl up. This spunky senior, affectionately nicknamed "Squeeks," is not just a survivor, but a social butterfly, thriving in the company of other companion pups.
Elsa is seeking a forever home where she can bring warmth, love, and the memory of her sister, Anna, to a family willing to open their hearts to this spunky and affectionate senior dachshund. Her vibrant personality and friendly nature make her a heartwarming addition to any home. Elsa still has some vetting to be done and most likely will need dental work. Please look for updates on this sweet girl!
