Heartworm Prevention is given on the 13th of each month

Meet Rita, a gentle girl who just wants to be petted on the head and will remind you to keep petting if you stop by lightly tapping you. Rita is a beautiful ginger and white dachshund/chihuahua mix. She is shy at first but warms up to new people when she feels safe.

She prefers to not be crated and would love to sleep at the foot of your bed. She arrived at CTDR from a local shelter after she was found as a stray.  Rita tested positive for those nasty heartworms and has completed her treatment to eradicate them.  If interested in Rita, please complete an application  at www.ctdr.org .
