Minnie is a new arrival to CTDR having come from a small rural shelter in Central Texas  This sweet girl was left outside all night in the cold and when she was found, she looked to be in pretty bad shape.  She was taken to a local vet and while doing her exam they found she  was pregnant, however all of her puppies were deceased inside of her and emergency surgery was done and one puppy was found stuck in the birth canal.  While doing xrays it appeared she might have either a pelvic or hip fracture and CTDR is now waiting on the surgeon to read all of the xrays.  In the meantime, she is being kept comfortable and will start her vetting process which will include receiving her vaccines along with heartworm test and prevention and she will need to be microchipped.  We are not sure if she will need additional surgery but we will update when we get more information.
