Heartworm prevention given on the 10th of each month

Max is a Dachshund mix.   When he first came into foster care, he didn’t seem to know how to behave indoors or around people or other dogs. He’s very intelligent, however, and so is learning very quickly how to be a proper Dachshund!

 

He is house-trained and knows how to use a doggie door. He’s very friendly and accepting of other people once you’ve told him they’re OK. He gets along well with the other dogs in the foster home but is still learning to share toys, food, and attention.

 

He’ll cry like a baby when you come home because he missed you so! Just speak to him, give him a pet or a hug and then he’s fine. He loves sit with you, on you if you’ll allow. He’s just now discovered how much fun fetch can be! He’s quite the mountain goat, so keep the dining table chairs pushed in.

 

This little guy probably never knew what it was like to have a real home, and so he’s very happy to see that there are good people out there!
