Joey is doing well in his foster home and is getting along with his foster brothers and sister.  So far Joey has not had any "accidents" in the house and is using the doggy door really well.  He loves playing with all the toys and especially throwing them up and then chasing them.  We are working on Joey learning his name because at times it is difficult to get him back in the house because he does not seem to know that you are calling him.  He definitely is a "snuggle bug" and loves being right next to his human.  Another favorite pasttime for Joey is sitting on the back of the couch looking out the window.  Sometimes while Joey is up there he will walk over to you and lay his head on your shoulder and just lay there letting you rub his head.  He is definitely a true dachshund and loves to explore his surroundings and if you aren't careful he likes to "slip" out of the gate and visit the neighbors.  Joey does really well with all new people although he has not been around any small children.  I took Joey on a walk today and he did really well on his leash and there was no pulling.
