Heartworm Prevention is given on the 1st of each month

Franz is a small, gentle, very handsome long haired little boy.  He is on the small side and is a mini with a long red coat with black trim.  His coat is so soft and his beautiful  long ears frame his face! He has the most expressive, deep brown, "old soul" eyes, that seem to reach down into your heart and soul, and read you like a book!   They seem to say, "I have seen it all and love people anyway!" Franz is a calm, affectionate boy that just wants to lay with you and love on you all day long. He has only been in rescue for a few days, but so far, seems to be mostly housebroken and will go to the door when he needs to go outside.  He knows what "go potty Franz" means and will quickly do his business.  He walks well on a leash.  He has not been destructive at all and only barks when someone comes to the door, but settles down quickly.  He whines a little when first placed in a crate, but will settle down quickly.  He sleeps quietly through the night either in a crate or on his own bed or the big bed with me and other dogs.  He gets along wonderfully with other dogs in the house, but has not been exposed to cats or children at this time. He comes when called and shares his food with others in the house.  He is very gentle when taking treats from my hand. Franz has come a long way in such a short time. He was found in a ditch on the side of the road, and was too scared to even stand up for a couple of days.  With some tender love and a calm approached this little guy has turned into quite the little lover!  He currently has an eye infection that is being treated and will need to be neutered and have his teeth cleaned before he will be ready to move to his forever home. Hopefully he will be medically cleared and ready for his forever home within a couple of weeks. If you are looking for a little gentleman, who is loving and kind and very calm, then Franz may be just the guy for you!  Fill out your application now, I don't think this extremely handsome guy is going to be hanging around in rescue for very long!
