Winston is a VERY HAPPY BOY! He just bounces all over! This boy is strikingly handsome! He is a short haired, Blue Merle Dapple. His colorings and markings are very unique. He has stripe down the middle of his head and face. One side he is black and tan with a brown eye and the other side is the Blue Merle Dapple pattern with the Blue Eye! His current weight is just over 11 pounds, but he is really thin and needs a couple of pounds more put on him! He is eating well, and healthy, so it is probably an issue of him not having access to food. He loves to play, and to run and to play some more! He is really High Energy. We are unsure of his previous life, but it seems he just can't get enough of PEOPLE, and Pups and Toys! I think he may not have had anything or anyone to play with him or give him attention before rescue! He really loves belly rubs but won't slow down for long to get one! He is Crate Trained and sleeps all night in his crate. He is working hard on learning to potty outside. He goes to the door but is not 100 percent consistent yet. He is not a big barker, but will follow the crowd, and if they are barking, well, he will join right in even if he has no clue what everyone is barking at! Winston is very affectionate and loves to give attention as well as receive it! He is a jumper and will jump up to greet you! Small children may be knocked over by his excited jumping. We are working on some basic manners for Winston. This little guy will approach everyone and seek affection. He has not met a stranger yet. Winston loves adults as well as children. He gets along well with other dogs in the house, but has a tendency to jump on them, when trying to get them to play and can be a little rough. But he has a gentle personality and gets his feelings hurt easily. He is quickly learning to walk on a leash. The perfect home for Winston, would be a house with a yard. This is NOT an apartment dog since he is so high energy! Winston would love to have at least one other dog to play with and keep him occupied and maybe someone to run with or take for long walks. An older child to run and play with would be most excellent for Winston! This little guy would just love to share his love and energy with his forever family!
