Heartworm Prevention is given on the 17th of each month

Update - 12/15/2013: Miley will be ready to go to her new forever home as of January 1, 2014. This little girl has been such a resilient little sweetheart. Her favorite place is wherever her human is, and she follows from room to room. Miley is so loving and so ready to be adopted!

Update - 11/23/2013: Miley has finished her heartworm treatment shots and is now recovering well. She will be ready to go to her new forever home after 6–8 weeks of crate rest. 

 

Miley is just the sweetest little girl. Miley loves lap time, cuddling, and she's very playful and loving with her humans. She has a way of standing up and laying her head on your legs that is just so charming and adorable. Miley is great on-leash. She walks in a straight line without any pulling. She loves to give you a high-five for any treats or food. When meeting new people, she is very friendly and asks for pets and kisses. She is very playful in the back yard and enjoys checking out new surroundings. She absolutely shines when she is the star of the show, so she will enjoy being a solo dog. Her sense of humor and Dachshund kookiness is coming out as she is starting to  play with squeaky toys and chewies.
