Homer is an older gentleman who doesn’t seem to have realized he’s an older gentleman!  He’s very laid back and absolutely LOVES to snuggle up next to your leg or shoulder and nap the day away.  But if someone feels like playing then suddenly he’s a toothless puppy bounding around and around the yard/room in a romp. He’s really improving on his housebreaking skills and blossoms with a predictable schedule.  Though he’s had every one of his teeth removed, that hasn’t slowed him down when it comes to dinner time.  We add some warm water to his kibble but he still slurps it down faster than any of his foster brothers.  He is all doxie in the grub dept.  He always thinks he’s starving even right after meals and loves treats. Homer enjoys other dogs but is also content to have your undivided snuggling attention.  He’s mildly interested in our cats but hasn’t tried to chase any of them.  He’ll sleep quietly all night on the bed next to you, too.  His leash walking skills are ok and though he goes to full extent of the leash, he doesn’t tug mercilessly.  He’s fine with older kids (12+) but I’ve not had a chance to try him with younger kids much.  (though he did fine when being handled by kids around age 8 at an adoption event)
