Doris is such a joy. She was a bit timid when I first brought her home, but she has adapted quite well to life in a house with 3 other dogs. I have an 80 lb Lab/Pit Bull mix, a 70 lb Boxer, and a 16 pound Dachshund. Doris is sweet, energetic, and loves to be with her human! She follows me from room to room and always wants to be near me or in my lap. After only 5 days, my old doxie let Doris sleep in bed with us! Lately she has tried to go into his crate when I leave in the morning, but he's not ready for that step quite yet! Doris only has a few teeth left, but she doesn't let that get in the way of her wolfing down soft food! She is a bit underweight so I am feeding her extra portions. She is the cutest thing ever. My Boxer has really taken a shine to her, and the two of them like to hang out on the back porch "guarding" my house. It is beyond sweet. Last week I caught my Lab/Pit grooming Doris on the couch.
You would never know she's 9 years old as she has SO much energy! She loves to explore my house and our huge backyard. She is potty trained and crate trained, and is a really easy going dog.
