Murphy is a people dog. He is a fun dog that is easy to love. He almost seems to have velcro on part of his body as he can attach himself to you no matter where you sit or lie. If you are looking for a lap dog, he's your boy. He will jump up in your lap in two seconds and if you leave your desk, he'll jump from the chair to your computer keyboard even faster. He is very, very curious, but not destructive at all. He has easily managed to get on every table, desk, end table and chair in this house. A chair or a couch is merely a stepping stone to the next level of interesting things. He is a world class snuggler/cuddler and can squeeze into any space that he finds if it's next to your body. We don't sleep with him in bed, though it's very tempting. I'm confident he would be the perfect sleep buddy. :)  Currently Murphy sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He gets along great with his two older foster brothers. One is a 15 year old senior and Murphy seems to understand he's old and fragile. He seems to enjoy being next to one of the other dogs and is frequently curled up with one of them. We are working on house training. He has had a handful of accidents, but is well on his way to becoming totally house trained. Murphy is very energetic and likes to play with toys and go on walks. He knows his name and comes when called. He gets nervous around other dogs and new people, but settles down after a bit. He has been on the hike and bike trail and I would guess that he had never been around so many other people and dogs before. He was over stimulated and excited and barked a lot.
The two main areas we are working on is socializing and house training. Murphy appears to be smart and wants to please.
