Lucy is a beautiful, loving, energetic little girl who has adapted well in her foster home. She loves her belly rubbed and to burrow under blankets as most doxies do. She yearns for human attention, more so from a female. She is a bit shy towards males, but is very affectionate once she is comfortable. Lucy has a magnificent spirit and LOVES to watch the squirrels and birds in the back yard, and then go chase them around. Lucy is very inquisitive about all things. She does well going into her kennel and is semi-house trained. Lucy understands she isn't supposed to go potty inside but we think it's just the adjusting which has caused only a few accidents. She is picking up on the idea of using the restroom outside, but be prepared to be on her time as she enjoys roaming her new environments. She does well on a leash and enjoys going on walks. She also does well in vehicles and loves to be held and watch everything going on outside. Lucy does not care for loud noises as they tend to startle her. She is protective of people entering the home and she will let her owners know she's protecting them. Once she realizes you mean no harm, she's happy to have her belly rubbed. Lucy has done well with her foster brother who is a 14 year old doxie and doesn't seem to have any issues with cats or even know what one is. Lucy deserves a loving home where she can be spoiled and allowed to be the affectionate young lady she is. She's a special girl.
