Yesterday CTDR saved two little bonded dachshunds. I DO mean Little. They are Heidi and Gretchen and they both weigh about 8lbs + or-. Both RED/SMOOTH in color. Heidi Red with White Points and Gretchen Red with Black undercoat. They were both found as strays in Dallas and found their way to a shelter that reached out to CTDR. These girls are special. They are obviously siblings about 2-3yrs old and devoted to each other. They are quiet and people loving little girls. Heidi is protective of Gretchen when other dogs are around. But they both are starting to except other pack members. Their favorite activity is being curled up with a person. Man or woman it does not matter. If you are sitting, they are sitting next to you touching you. They love to give light kisses. Heidi is Heartworm Positive and will need treatment, that will be provided by rescue. Heidi also has lost part of her tail in the past that gives her a sassy look. They are two VERY striking dogs. They are as big as they are going to get unless you over feed them. Which means they are two of the smallest PB Mini-Dachshunds I have ever seen. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt these two will be set for love and companionship.
