Mitzi
Laura Fatter is sad to advise that little MITZI Fatter, adopted by her in October 2009, died at home with her husband, Dempsey Doodle Dachshund Fatter (also a CTDR rescue), and her forever Mom at her side on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 6:30am as a result of a grand mal seizure. Mitzi was a wonderful, sweet & gentle fairy with a strong spirit who brought joy to our home every day we were blessed to share with her. Even with major health issues (advanced Cushings, seizures, partial blindness, horrible teeth), The Mitz never let them get them down. She was always 1 step behind her Mom, and her sweet presence is missed. Her husband, Dempsey, is making the transition amazingly well, possibly because he now gets all of his Forever Mom's attention. He was a loving & devoted husband to Mitzi.

Romeo
CTDR lost one of its most beloved fosters today, Romeo. Romeo had a rough start in life, and lost all his teeth from them being neglected; but he never let even that slow him down. This sweet, loving, older gentleman enjoyed life and being loved by his foster dad right until the very end. We are all sad today to lose such a wonderful dog, but take comfort in knowing he is now running pain free at the Rainbow Bridge, as young again in body as he was in spirit.

Beamer
Today the world is a little less sunny because CTDR lost one of it's brightest rays of sunshine, Beamer (The Beam). CTDR pulled Beamer knowing he would probably be a long term foster or hospice dog, but he was just one of those extremely special dogs that made you feel better just by being around him. Beamer fought a valiant battle against numerous serious illnesses, but last weekend when he started showing signs of possibly being in some pain, CTDR decided to let him go to the Rainbow Bridge. Beamer went peacefully to the Bridge supported and surrounded by people who loved him and cared for him and after consuming numerous treats and being hugged and petted for hours. Run pain free at the Bridge, Beam, we love you.

Kenny
After an incredibly difficult start in life, and a rough road through life, Kenny is finally at peace at the Rainbow Bridge, playing carefree with all the other loved ones who have gone before him. Rest in Peace, Sweet Kenny, we will miss you.

Colonel
CTDR is saddened by the loss of one of its senior dogs, Colonel. Colonel lived almost 17 years and was a sweet, loving gentleman. He will be missed terribly; but hopefully he is running pain free at the Rainbow Bridge.
