Are you looking for the perfect lap dog? A dog that wants nothing more than to while away the hours cuddling with you?  A dog whose favorite place to be is wherever you are? If you are looking for these things, keep looking because Mia is not the dog for you! Now, if you desire a playmate that will always be up for a game of fetch, then look more closely.  Mia is an Olympic level canine athlete when it comes to tug-of-war. Playing chase the ball comes in a close second.  Mia will bark and let you know when it’s time to play and will not take “No” for an answer.  If you think you can ignore her plea, then think again. It’s in your interests to wear Mia out because she has more energy than two dogs.  It is obvious that Mia’s previous owners played with her. The word quit is not in Mia’s vocabulary. She makes the Energizer Bunny look like an amateur. Mia will go and go until she is exhausted and then collapse for the next 8 hours of rest. She is ready to go again as soon as she opens her eyes to a new day. Mia gets along with the dogs in her fosters’ home but she is entirely focused on playing with her toys.  Mia is mostly oblivious to any other dogs unless they are going after the same toy or ball as she is. She is highly completive but not aggressive. Mia is very vocal so she would do best in a house with a yard versus an apartment.  Crating would not be a good plan because remember: you have to get her worn out.  You have been warned! Mia has not been exposed to children but chances are she would enjoy one to play with.  The most important requirement for Mia is that her adopter be able and willing to indulge her love of play.  One thing for sure: Mia will energize any home she is in.
