Current Size: 8.5 Pounds
Current Age: 7 Years 10 Months (best estimate)
Reaction to New People: Cautious
UPDATE:
This tiny cuddle bug loves nothing more than to sit on her person's lap and have her neck scratched. She follows her foster mom all over the house and sits quietly on the floor next to her when she's watching TV or working. Louise is learning to play with toys and her foster sisters. She is shy at first, but once she gets to know you (treats help), she will want all your attention and affection. Louise gets along well with people, dogs, cats, and children. However, since she is so tiny, children will have to be careful not to injure her. Since she is prone to getting under foot, adults will also have to be careful with her. She is progressing well with the house-training. She prefers to sleep in the people bed rather than in her crate. She is not really a barker unless the other dogs start barking or making a commotion. Louise has been a total joy to have around and is sure to make a wonderful pet for her forever family.
Meet Louise, our newest arrival to CTDR. She came into Rescue along with her best friend, Thelma, a little black and tan doxie. Sadly, Thelma passed away the day after coming into Rescue and now little Louise finds herself all alone. Louise and Thelma were found as strays and taken to the local shelter. CTDR agreed to take both of them even though Louise is a beautiful, petite, little White Cairn Terrier, CTDR has made her an honorary dachshund as we were not going to send her back to the shelter. Unfortunately as well, Louise has those nasty heartworms and will have to undergo treatment before she can be adopted. If interested in fostering or adopting this cute little girl, please complete an application at ctdr.org.
